Comments: Support from Gravedale High. There was much banter and tomfoolery during the show, including a snippet of 'Ace Of Spades' prior to 'Wait For The Blackout', and a short redition of 'Wot' played to the riff of The Stranglers' 'Peaches' before 'Eloise'.

Thursday 6 November 2014 - The NIA, Birmingham

Comments: Support from Edward Tudor-Pole. A short piece of 'Wot' preceded 'Neat Neat Neat'. On returning to the stage after the encore break, Captain Sensible proceeded to play Monty's keyboard and sang 'Daydream Believer' - a couple of verses ensued, with some other band members and a good part of the audience soon joining in the sing-a-long.

Comments: Final night of US 'Hallow East' tour. Support from The Briefs and T.S.O.L. There was a slight delay at the beginning, Monty starting 'History Of The World' but Dave Vanian stopping proceedings due to a problem with his microphone. Problem rectified, the show began again after about a minute.

Comments: Promoted as The Year Zero Festival, bands appeared over 2 stages. The Members were the opening act on the main stage, followed by The Beat - The Damned then headlined this stage. There was a false start to 'Eloise', the song being stopped due to a sound problem from Monty's equipment. 'Wot' was played as a strange improvisation.

Set: Love Song, Second Time Around, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Wait For The Blackout, Lively Arts, Silly Kids Games, History Of The World, Ignite, Stranger On The Town, Eloise, Disco Man, New Rose, Neat Neat Neat, Smash It Up.

Comments: The Damned appeared as Friday headliners on the Reds Stage as part of The Great British Alternative Music Festival weekend. Other acts to play this stage on the night were Anti-Pasti and The Anti Nowhere League (ANWL). Note that ANWL appeared after The Damned even though they weren't the headline act. The set was played straight through with no encore.

Comments: North East Calling one day event. Also on the bill - Conflict, Angelic Upstarts, The Business, GBH, XSLF (Henry Cluney & Jim Riley), Crashed Out, Gimp Fist, Dirt Box Disco and Control. Note that Conflict pulled-out on the day of the event, so all other bands played slightly extended sets.

Comments: Support from The Baboon Show.

Sunday 17 August 2014 - Boughton Estate, Kettering (Altfest)

Comments: A planned 3-day festival, with Marilyn Manson intended as the main headliner on the Saturday, that was cancelled - The Damned were due to headline the Goth stage on the Sunday night. The organisers wrote 'It is with a heavy heart that we must confirm we have had to cancel Alt-Fest. We were doing very well for a first year festival. We sold over 7.5 thousand weekend tickets, and as you were aware we had a great line up with plenty going on. This however meant we had to pay for over half of all the band's fees, with the remainder due just before and at the festival itself. Securing bands was not the only cost. The festival was going to cost £1,703,000 in total to put on. If we were to sell a minimum of another 1,000 tickets between now and the festival, we'd have suffered a significant loss that we couldn't carry. This recently came to light based on a costing error and inevitably down to the fact that the investor unfortunately pulled out last minute'.

Saturday 16 August 2014 - The Forum, Kentish Town, London

Set: Street Of Dreams, Wait For The Blackout, Lively Arts, Silly Kids Games, Plan 9 Channel 7, Disco Man, Ignite, 13th Floor Vendetta, Eloise, New Rose, Nasty, History Of The World, Grimly Fiendish, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Love Song, Neat Neat Neat. encore - Curtain Call, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, Antipope, Melody Lee, Smash It Up.

Comments: Support from The Defiled and Rubella Ballet. A well attended show that was only advertised at the beginning of August - as a replacement for the cancelled appearance at Altfest on the 17th - with tickets priced at the low price of £10 (plus booking fees). Much of the banter during the show was aimed at Cliff Richard, who was currently in the news due to allegations being made against him.

Saturday 14 June 2014 - Sandy Bay Leisure Resort, Weston Super Mare

Set: Love Song, Second Time Around, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Neat Neat Neat, Fan Club, Plan 9 Channel 7, Disco Man, Dozen Girls, Stranger On The Town, History Of The World, Shadow Of Love, New Rose, Street Of Dreams, Alone Again Or, Eloise, Stretcher Case, Democracy, Nasty, Happy Talk, Smash It Up.

Comments: Inkfest Tattoo & Alternative Music Festival. The Damned headlined the second day of this 4-day (3 days of music) festival. Full line-up advertised for the Saturday was The Damned, The Rocker Covers, King Hammond, The Wolftones, Slagerij, Radio Nasties and The Flamin' Ratrods. Session drummer Stephen Gilchrist again deputised for the absent Pinch. An eventful show in parts, which was poorly attended, but excellent. Firstly the Captain's guitar packed-in towards the end of 'Neat Neat Neat' and he walked off stage to try to resolve with the crew - in the interim, though other members of the band left the stage, Monty remained and played an impromptu piece for around 6 minutes. During the encore, 'Nasty' was dedicated to the recently deceased Rik Mayall. A surprise in the encore was when the Captain apologised that 'Happy Talk' wouldn't be Rockabilly style [ other bands at the festival were predominately, but not solely, Rockabilly bands ], Stephen Gilchrist jumped in with a beat from the drums, the Captain and others picked-up on it and – 'Happy Talk' Rockabilly style (of sorts) was played. Finally, just when the band should have been cruising to the finish line, another oddity - Part 1 of 'Smash It Up' was played, there was a “SMASH IT UPPPPP!!” for Part 2, a few notes and the Captain stopped things. It turns out he was actually looking at a woman leaning on the stage at the moment that she pulled a plug out of its socket – killing his guitar. “Why did you do that madam? Tell me, why did you do it? I don’t care… things like that just fascinate me as to why they are done” (or some such words) - and then the band picked-up where they left off, completing 'Smash It Up'.

Saturday 7 June 2014 - Long Beach, California (Ink N Iron Festival)

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Antipope, Disco Man, Ignite, Street Of Dreams, Eloise, New Rose, Nasty, History Of The World, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Love Song, Melody Lee, Neat Neat Neat, Fan Club, Jet Boy Jet Girl, Smash It Up.

Comments: Day 2 of the Ink N Iron Festival, The Damned indicated as co-headliners with Buzzcocks... but Buzzcocks last on stage. Numerous other band on the bill. This was a straight one hour set with no encores.

Thursday 5 June 2014 - The Catalyst, Santa Cruz, California

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Antipope, Disco Man, Ignite,, Plan 9 Channel 7, Street Od Reams, Eloise, New Rose, History Of The World, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Love Song, Alone Again Or, Neat Neat Neat. encore - Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, Dozen Girls, Jet Boy Jet Girl, Nasty, Smash It Up.

Comments: Support from Koffin Kats, Stellar Corpses and These Pilgrims. Set on the night (give above) differed from the written setlist.

Wednesday 4 June 2014 - Slims, San Francisco, California

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Antipope, Disco Man, Ignite, Plan 9 Channel 7, Street Of Dreams, Eloise, New Rose, History Of The World, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Love Song, Melody Lee, Neat Neat Neat. encore - Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, Dozen Girls, Stranger On The Town, Nasty, Smash It Up.

Comments: Support from Koffin Kats and Stellar Corpses. Following 'Smash It Up' a young lad was given Captain's guitar, which he strummed whilst members of The Damned played / sang an impromptu piece.

Saturday 17 May 2014 - The Ritz, Manchester

Set: Love Song, Second Time Around, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Street Of Dreams, Neat Neat Neat, History Of The World, Fan Club, Disco Man, Plan 9 Channel 7, Alone Again Or, Stretcher Case, New Rose, Antipope, Democracy, Smash It Up.

Comments: The Damned headlined The North West Calling Festival, replacing originally booked The Exploited, who were forced to cancel after lead singer Wattie suffered a heart attack, on stage in Lisbon, during February. The festival was billed as 'celebrating Charlie Harper's 70th birthday' and featured The Damned, Angelic Upstarts, UK Subs, The Business, Goldblade, GBH, Dirt Box Disco, Crashed Out, Gimp Fist and 4ft Fingers). Pinch was unavailable for this show, so session drummer Stephen Gilchrist deputised.

Saturday 26 April 2014 - O2 ABC, Glasgow

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Antipope, Disco Man, Plan 9 Channel 7, I Feel Alright, New Rose, Lively Arts, Ignite, History Of The World, Melody Lee, Love Song, Born To Kill, Neat Neat Neat. encore - Smash It Up.

Comments: The Damned headlined The Scotland Calling Festival. The full running order for the bands was Fire Exit, The Red Eyes, The Fiend, Crashed Out, Henry Cluney, GBH, The Business, Penetration, Angelic Upstarts and The Damned.

Thursday 24 April 2014 - The Forum, Kentish Town, London

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Lively Arts, Silly Kids Games, History Of The World, Ignite, Happy Talk, Stranger On The Town, Disco Man, Love Song, Second Time Around, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, New Rose, Neat Neat Neat. encore - Glad It's All Over, Smash It Up.

Comments: Advertised as 'The Captain's Birthday Party', this show celebrated the Captain's 60th birthday. To avoid ticket touting, entry for the event (at 1977 prices - £1.70 (plus booking fees)) was by a ticketless system, strictly limited to 2 per person, with card payment verification carried out at the doors of the venue on the night to avoid resale. So that Captain Sensible could enjoy the show from behind the stage as well as on it, The Damned appeared below Ruts DC on the bill. The full line-up was TV Smith (1st on stage), Johnny Moped (2nd), Ed Tudor Pole (3rd), The Damned (4th) and Ruts DC (5th). Believed to be the first time that Captain's solo number 'Glad It's All Over' had been included in a Damned set.

Sunday 30 March 2014 - Butlin's, Minehead

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Lively Arts, Silly Kids Games, History Of The World, Ignite, Fan Club, Stranger On The Town, Eloise, Disco Man, Love Song, Second Time Around, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, New Rose, Neat Neat Neat, Smash It Up.

Comments: The Damned appeared on the Reds Stage on the Sunday night at The Great British Alternative Music Festival. Running order for the Reds Stage on this evening was Chameleons Vox (1st), The Damned (2nd), Chelsea (headliners). Because the band weren't headlining, the set was played straight through with no encore.

Saturday 29 March 2014 - The White Rabbit, Plymouth

Comments: Advertising for this gig was evident on the www, including the website for the venue, but subsequently vanished... presumably intended but never confirmed. The show was indicated as taking place from 23:30 on the Saturday to 02:00 on the Sunday, ie a one and a half hour set that was due to span the change of hour to British Summer time (BST).

Saturday 22 March 2014 - The Melkweg, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Fan Club, History Of The World, Ignite, Stranger On The Town, Eloise, Disco Man, Love Song, Second Time Around, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, New Rose, Neat Neat Neat, Antipope, Smash It Up.

Comments: The Damned were second on the bill for this Rebellion Festival. Running order was Cock Sparrer, The Damned, Ruts DC, Discipline, Steve Ignorant with Paranoid Visions, 999, Goldblade, Gimpfist, Disturbance, Funeral Dress, GOH and Brains All Gone.

Friday 14 March 2014 - Beechmount Leisure Centre, Belfast

Set: Wait For The Blackout, Lively Arts, Silly Kids Games, Fan Club, History Of The World, Ignite, Stranger On The Town, Eloise, Disco Man, Alone Again Or, Love Song, Second Time Around, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, New Rose, Neat Neat Neat. encore - I Feel Alright, Smash It Up.
