Comments: With the Buzzcocks. Billed as Dave Vanian & Captain Sensible Ex-Damned. 'Ever Fallen in Love' was performed with the Buzzcocks (the Captain and Steve Diggle on lead guitars, Tony Barber on bass guitar, Patricia Morrison and Dave Vanian on backing vocals, and Pete Shelley on lead vocals).

The 2nd playing of 'Love Song' was an extended version. Also on the bill that day - Suburban Studs, Funeral Dress, The Vibrators, The Lurkers, External Menace, The Radio Stars, The Casualties, 999, Splodgenessabounds, UK Subs, Special Duties, Chron Gen, The Anti-Nowhere League. Auntie Pus seems to have played immediately before The Damned and then introduced the band.

Advertising when originally scheduled for The Institute Birmingham indicated the line-up to be - The Damned, Sham 69, Anti Nowhere League, The Meteors, GBH, Peter and The Test Tube Babies, John Copper Clarke, Demented Are Go, Chaou UK, The English Dogs, The Lost Souls, Varukers, Deluxor, + 2 more bands to be confirmed. Snippets of 'Happy Talk' and 'Snooker Song' preceded 'Melody Lee'.
