Captain Sensible: Solo & Beyond... (2014)

The list of shows for 2014 is believed to be complete (lists for some years are very much 'work in progress').

* (with) The Sensible Gray Cells

Sunday 14 December 2014 - The Globe, Cardiff

Comments: CANCELLED. In a statement regarding the cancelled shows Captain Sensible wrote "Although a handful of discerning music lovers DID purchase tickets, there were simply not enough to make the tour work as planned. We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. If there’s an audience there I’ll play – if not that’s tough, but I ain’t about to slash my wrists. One has had a bloody good run in showbiz – so at this point would like to thank my agent, make up lady, dominatrix, etc.  And now… I’m off down the pub!".

Focal piece of the garden is 'The Sensible Seat', named after the Captain due to his local connections with the area - ie he attended Stanley Technical School For Boys (immortalised in his solo recording - Croydon). Following the unveiling of the seat, songs were performed karaoke style - with Captain singing along to recordings of the songs.

However, presumably due to Paul Gray's illness (being treated for throat cancer), the band disappeared from advertising some months prior to the festival taking place.
