Comments: Support confirmed as having been Poisoned Electrick Head. Whilst the above is only the written setlist for the night (and therefore actual songs played are unconfirmed), 'Jet Boy Jet Girl', 'I'm A Believer', 'Neverland' and 'Love Song' are known to have been played.

Friday 6 December 1996 - Wheatsheaf, Stoke on Trent

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Neverland, Love Policeman, It Would Be So Nice, Disco Man, Happy Talk, Home, Glad It's All Over, The World Of Matilda Free, Neat Neat Neat, Smash It Up. encore - Wot, I'm A Believer, Gonna Make You A Star, Roll With It.

Comments: No support band on this evening. There was initially a false start to 'It Would Be So Nice'. On stage antics prior to 'Neat Neat Neat', included a short, vocals only, excerpt of David Essex's 'Hold Me Close'. 'I'm A Believer' and 'Gonna Make You A Star' featured Garried Dreadful on vocals and Captain Sensible on drums.

Thursday 5 December 1996 - Witchwood, Ashton under Lyne

Set included: Love Policeman, Disco Man, Neverland, Love Song.

Wednesday 4 December 1996 - Speakeasy Club, Sheffield

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Neverland, Love Policeman, It Would Be So Nice, Roll With It, Happy Talk, Glad It's All Over, Neat Neat Neat, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2). encore - Wot, Disco Man, I'm A Believer, Love Song. [but see comments].

Comments: The on stage antics between 'Glad It's All Over' and 'Neat Neat Neat' included an irreverent musical piece. 'I'm A Believer' featured Garried Dreadful on vocals and Captain Sensible on drums. Evident from the audio bootleg recording that the above set was taken from, is that the Captain left the stage, the audience was shouting for 'New Rose' and some drumming eventually started. At this point the audio cut-out. This drumming may have ended up being curtailed, but it seems likely that the Captain would have returned to play 'New Rose' as a second encore.

Tuesday 3 December 1996 - Bristol Hotel, Gloucester

Comments: Support acts advertised as 100,000 Body Bags and Screacher.

Tuesday 2 April 1996 - The Spot, Kassel, Germany

Set included: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2), It Would Be So Nice, Neat Neat Neat, Hey Joe, Happy Talk, Dozen Girls, Glad It's All Over, Roll With It. encore 1 - Wot, I'm A Believer, New Rose, Anarchy In The UK. encore 2 - Home, Do The Twist, Love Song.

Comments: Monty commented in a write-up in an article in an edition of the NeatDamnedNoise (NDN) fanzine that the gig was not supported - "we played to 2 punk girls" - this is more or less supported by references elsewhere to 'only 2 paying customers'... and 'about 8 who walked in half way through the show'. Whilst the set above is known to be in the correct order, a cut in the video that this set was taken from means that it is not know what, if anything, featured between 'Neat Neat Neat' and 'Hey Joe' (if anything is missing in its totality, the most likely candidate would be 'Love Policeman' (incidently, 'Life Goes On' is known to have not been played on this evening). On stage at the beginning of the second encore, Garrie Dreadful mentions "'Love Song' again"... but in the dressing room area prior to taking to the stage, the Captain says "we haven't played 'Love Song'"... so this remains a bit of a mystery.

Monday 1 April 1996

Comments: Shown as time off, in Oberursel, in the original tour itinary.

Sunday 31 March 1996 - MTW, Offenback, Germany

Set: unknown.

Saturday 30 March 1996

Comments: Shown as time off, in Oberursel, in the original tour itinary.

Friday 29 March 1996 - Frankfurt, Germany

Set: unknown.

Comments: Shown as time off, in Oberursel, in the original tour itinary - possibly an additional show that was added or has a mistake crept into my records? Apparently included Whole Lotta Love and Only Rock 'N Roll But I Like It.

Thursday 28 March 1996 - IKA Zentrum, Oberhausen, Germany

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Life Goes On, It Would Be So Nice, Neat Neat Neat, Love Policeman, Happy Talk, Dozen Girls, Glad It's All Over, Love Song, It's Hard To Believe I'm Not, Roll With It. encore 1 - Wot, I'm A Believer, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2). encore 2 - New Rose, Love Song (again).

Comments: Goings-on prior to 'Life Goes On' included a short parody of 'In The Air Tonight' (Phil Collins). Similarly, prior to 'Love Policeman', a short parody of 'The Times They Are A Changin'' (Bob Dylan) was played. And before 'Love Song', on stage antics included attempts at part of 'Layla' (Derek And The Dominoes). Additionally, prior to the 2nd playing of 'Love Song', a verse of 'Mull Of Kintyre' (Wings) was played followed by a lengthy parody of 'It's Only Rock 'n Roll' (The Rolling Stones) was played.

Wednesday 27 March 1996 - Gleis [Catch] 22, Munster, Germany

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Life Goes On, It Would Be So Nice, Neat Neat Neat, Love Policeman, Happy Talk, Dozen Girls, Home, Glad It's All Over, Love Song, It's Hard To Believe I'm Not, Roll With It. encore 1 - Wot, I'm A Believer, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2). encore 2 - New Rose, Anarchy In The UK, Love Song (again).

Comments: Support from Luger! and Artland. Monty commented in a write-up in an article in an edition of the NeatDamnedNoise (NDN) fanzine that this was a well attended gig. 'Jet Boy Jet Girl' is only presumed to have started the gig... the bootleg this info was taken from starting during 'Life Goes On'. On stage antics prior to 'Neat Neat Neat' included a short nonsensical musical piece. Similarly, a fairly long nonsensical musical piece aimed at Phil Collins preceded 'Anarchy In The UK'.

Tuesday 26 March 1996

Comments: Shown as time off, in Hamburg, in the original tour itinary.

Monday 25 March 1996 - Cafe Rousee [Rust], Copenhagen, Denmark

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Life Goes On, It Would Be So Nice, Neat Neat Neat, Love Policeman, Happy Talk, Dozen Girls, Home, Glad It's All Over, Love Song, It's Hard To Believe I'm Not, Roll With It. encore - Wot, I'm A Believer, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2), New Rose.

Comments: 'Life Goes On' cut due to Captain getting electric shocks from the mike - hence a blues piece of about 4 minutes was played prior to 'It Would Be So Nice' to fill time whilst the fault was rectified.

Sunday 24 March 1996

Comments: Shown as time off, in Hamburg, in the original tour itinary.

Saturday 23 March 1996 - Cat Club, Ulm, Germany

Set included: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Neat Neat Neat, Glad It's All over, Happy Talk, Home, Love Policeman, New Rose, Love Song, Smash It Up, Life Goes On, Dozen Girls, It Would be So Nice, Roll With It, I'm A Believer, Wot, Brenda, Jet Boy Jet Girl (again), Love Song (again).

Comments: Support believed to have been Hollywood Teaze again (due to on stage comments made towards the end of the Rottack show the previous night). Monty commented in a write-up in NDN that they played to just 15 people, but that they were such a great crowd that the band played 2 encores.

Friday 22 March 1996 - Indie Club, Rottach, Germany

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Life Goes On, It Would Be So Nice, Neat Neat Neat, Love Policeman, Happy Talk, Dozen Girls, Home, Glad It's All Over, Love Song, It's Hard To Believe I'm Not, Roll With It. encore 1 - Wot, I'm A Believer, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2). encore 2 - New Rose, Love Song (again).

Comments: Supported by Hollywood Teasze. 'Brenda' featured as part of the soundcheck but was not actually played during the show. 'I'm A Believer' featured Garrie Dreadful on vocals whilst the Captain played drums.

Wednesday 20 to Thursday 21 March 1996

Comments: Shown as time off, in Oberursel, in the original tour itinary.

Tuesday 19 March 1996 - Prinzen Bar, Hamburg, Germany

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Life Goes On, Neat Neat Neat, Love Policeman, Dozen Girls, Glad It's All Over, Love Song, It's Hard To Believe I'm Not, Roll With It. encore 1 - Wot, I'm A Believer, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2), New Rose, Happy Talk. encore 2 - Brenda, Love Song (again).

Comments: A long nonsensical musical piece was played between 'Love Song' and 'It's Hard To Believe I'm Not'. 'I'm A Believer' featured Garried Dreadful on vocals and Captain Sensible on drums.

Monday 18 March 1996 - Prinzen Bar, Hamburg, Germany

Set included Love Song.

Sunday 17 March 1996 - Connie Island, Leipsig, Germany

Set: unknown.

Comments: Gig known to have taken place.

Saturday 16 March 1996 - Starclub, Dresden, Germany

Set: unknown.

Comments: Gig known to have taken place.

Friday 15 March 1996 - El-Bundie, Brunswick, Germany

Comments: Gig known to have taken place.

Thursday 14 March 1996 - The Glocksee, Hannover, Germany

Comments: Supported by The Barking Dogs. 'I'm A Believer' featured Garried Dreadful on vocals and Captain Sensible on drums. In response to chants from the audience of 'Sensible's a wanker prior to 'It's Hard To Believe I'm Not', approximately one and a half minutes of The Rolling Stones 'It's Only Rock 'N' Roll' was played... but with words substituted to 'it's only a wank, but I like it' - and this spoof also morphed into Wings 'Mull of Kintrye' part way through.

Wednesday 13 March 1996

Comments: Shown as a UK to Gernmany travel time in the original tour itinary.

Saturday 9 March 1996 - Beacon Court, Gillingham

Set: Jet Boy Jet Girl, Life Goes On, It Would Be So Nice, Neat Neat Neat, Love Policeman, Happy Talk, Dozen Girls, Glad It's All Over, Love Song, Roll With It. encore - Wot, I'm A Believer, Smash It Up (parts 1 and 2).

Comments: Warm-up gig for the German tour. A comment made by the Captain during the show (evident on the bootleg recording that this set was taken from), suggests that a band featuring Rachel Bor (ex-Dolly Mixture) were support on the night. Free entry to the show meant this gig was played to a capacity/ near capacity crowd. 'I'm A Believer' featured Garrie Dreadful on vocals and Captain Sensible on drums.
